Today, Rep. Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement after the Supreme Court released its decision blocking the Administration from ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program:

"Today's Supreme Court ruling is great news for nearly 700,000 Dreamers and the entire country. People brought here as children can now rest assured that this Administration cannot throw them out of the only place they've called home. This decision gives long-awaited hope to so many and reaffirms the fundamental ideals of America as a diverse nation that welcomes immigrants.

"While this is a step in the right direction, Congress must act to permanently protect Dreamers and other undocumented immigrants. It is time for the Senate to vote on the House-passed DREAM Act, which provides Dreamers and their families with a pathway to citizenship without the threat of being torn from our communities."
